Monsoon

There is heavy downpour during monsoon, and the region has a possibility of landslides. The temperature during this season varies from 13-19 degrees. This might be a suitable time to visit to enjoy greeneries and capture some iconic photographs if heavy rains do not bother you. During September, the rain starts subsiding; with little rainfall, the valley looks refreshing, allowing you to experience something unique.

Winter

The weather is extremely cold during winter, and the temperature might drop to -2 degrees Celsius. The shops and eateries are closed early due to the short day and chilly weather outside. It is advisable to carry woolen wear if you visit Darjeeling during the winter months.
