Best Time To Visit Agartala

The overall weather of Agartala is moderate like most other parts of the country and one can visit here throughout the year.

Winter : Average temperature of winter months (between November-March)persist 18-10°C.

Summer : The summer season lasts between April-October, experiences hot and wet summer. Average temperature lies between 28 °C to 35°C.

How To Reach Agartala?

By Air : Agartala is well-connected with major metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad via Kolkata and Guwahati. The Maharaja BirBikram Airport is situated at a distance of 11 km from the main town of Agartala. Airfares are usually moderate throughout the year but slightly rise during the festive seasons like Durga Puja.

By Train : Agartala is well-connected with the other parts of India through railway lines. After Guwahati, Agartala is the only city in the northeast to be connected with a railway network. The government of India approved a rail link between Agartala and Akhaura, Bangladesh, in September 2011.

By Road : One can reach Agartala by road from any part of the country through the chicken-neck area of Siliguri. Agartala is well-connected by NH-44 and NH44A with major Northeastern cities like Guwahati (785 km), Silchar (460 km), Shillong (686 km), Dharmanagar (173 km) and Aizawl (293 km).
