All tourists other than the natives need to get an Inner Line Permit (ILP) or Protected Area. Permit (PAP) to visit Arunachal Pradesh. The government officials check your ILP or PAP while departing for Bomdila from Guwahati or Tezpur.

By Air

Tezpur Airport is the closest airport (about 150 km) to reach Bomdila. Regional Air India flights are available for Tezpur from Kolkata and Guwahati.

By Rail

Rangapara North Railway Station is the nearest railway head to Bomdila, located at a distance of 145 km.

By Road

Bomdila is accessible from Tezpur national highway 15 & 13. One can also reach from Guwahati (330 km) via National Highway 15, 27, 715A connecting with National Highway 13. You can find prepaid cabs from both Tezpur and Guwahati. ASTC bus service is also available from there.
