In
July 2011 I visited Granite Gorge, which is east of Cairns in
Queensland.
It is a beautiful and atmospheric place, and is full of friendly
rock-wallabies, who are happy to be fed.
A short drive from the Tablelands town of Mareeba, you can sense that
Australia is an ancient country.
