Port Douglas - Macrossan Street

In July 2011 I travelled to Cairns in Queensland. After picking up a hire car, I drove 70km north on the beautful
coast-hugging Cook Highway to Port Douglas. In this small and pretty town, one can walk the 6km beach,
take a trip to the Great Barrier Reef, visit the Wildlife Habitat zoo, or head north To Mossman Gorge, the
Daintree National Park, and Cape Tribulation. It is a wonderful town to use as a base and offers great
accommodation and a range of restaurants and bars.
